Our laser

laserpristrojrtxt5286.jpg For refractive disorders correction, our workplace has the most advanced facility in the Czech Republic; all of the devices dispose of American FDA certificate. For the laser corrections, we are using the laser Zeiss MEL 80CRS TwinLine, model 2007, rightfully considered as the world´s techno­logical peak product. The laser is utilizing wavefront technology. Due to that, using the laser, we may precisely correct, except short – sightedness, long-sightedness, astigmatizm and presbyopia, also various cornea irregularities including high plus astigmatizm (up to +8 cylinders) that is often technologically impossible with other devices.

The laser main merits:

High speed
- The operation is extremely fast, one dioptry correction takes less than 3 seconds so the whole operation is less stressing to the patient
- Cornea is exposed to the beam for a significantly shorter time so it is drying much less and healing much faster
- Very fast return of sight acuity after the operation

Full-value Customized Ablation – CRS Master

  • On contrary to the standard mode optimized only according to cornea aberrations (curvature deviations), the customized ablation takes into account an every patient individual data.
  • CRS-Master is the system connecting wavefront diagnostics with cornea topography (not offered by other devices), so all the data are evaluated by the single device and not by their combination (e.g. wavefront diagnostics + Pentacam).
  • During the operation planning, also a patient age can be taken into account as well as the micro-ceratom type (in LASIK and EPI-LASIK operations), flap thickness and individual wishes of an every patient.

Aberrometer Wasca and topographer ATLAS 995 

  • These systems enable removing of previously unsolvable, very complicated optical aberrations and de-centering; due to them, many patients will reach their sight acuity as much as 120%!
  • The own investigation takes only 13 miliseconds. Due to that, there may be virtually eliminated inaccuracies given by eye moving within the measurement – a better precision and, also, an improved patient comfort.
  • Higher-level aberrations are complex, inhomogeneous distribution of refraction force in the area of pupil that cannot be described by refraction values such as sphere or cylinder. The optical aberrations such as coma and spherical aberrations cannot be detected by conventional methods and are frequently manifested as difficulties such as worsened night vision.

Extremely fast infrared Eyetracker

  • During the operation, it is important to have a device recording small-extent eye movement as fast and as accurate as possible. In CR unique OcuLign system automatically recognizes pupil and, furthermore, using so called iris-registration, is controlling eye position and so called torsion (wheels) according to blood vessels on both iris and white. The system is as fast as laser beam so the laser is always in the correct point.
    • As the perfect pre-operation diagnostics part, also the device serving to optical pachymetry (patient cornea thickness measurement) is included. The cornea thickness is a key parameter for selection of proper operation method (surface – EPI-LASIK and PRK vs. LASIK).
    • The slit lamp enables surgeon control the results immediately after realization of the operation, directly in chart room
      1. Wavefront diagnostics- during pre-operation investigation using Wasca device, in only 13 miliseconds we are perfectly mapping patient iris and small blood vessels on white – the device will make the wavefront map unique for an every eye.
      2. Eye registration – before the own operation, the OcuLign system will recognize characteristic features – reference points of the patient iris and white.
      3. During the operation, the system is checking even the smallest movement of the patient eye in order to have the operation exactly as it was planned.
